Tropical Storm Andrea June 5th–6th 65 mph 992 mb June 6th - Florida, USA

Tropical Storm Andrea formed from a low pressure area in the Gulf of Mexico on June 5th. On the 6th, the storm peaked in intensity with a sustained wind speed of 65 mph and a central minimum pressure of 992 mb. Before making landfall along Florida's Gulf Coast on June 6th, the storm brought torrential rainfall to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Andrea brought a small storm surge, as well as strong winds, heavy rain, and tornadoes to the southeastern United States. Andrea's fast forward motion limited the impacts in the United States. Andrea was an early-season storm for the basin. The first named storm typically occurs in early July and there is a named storm about once every other year in the North Atlantic during June.
