Global Temperature Trends, Updated through 2013


The following maps show the temperature trend for each qualifying grid point since the beginning of the 20th century (top) and the last 30 years. The temperature trend is the average rate of increase or decrease at the grid point over the time period of interest. It is determined by simple linear regression through the data available for each grid point. They are expressed in degrees Celsius per decade. For the rate in degrees Celsius per century, multiply by 100.
