U.S. Drought Monitor Update for January 1, 2013
According to the January 1, 2013 U.S. Drought Monitor, moderate to exceptional drought across the Nation decreased this week, covering 61.1% of the contiguous United States. Exceptional drought rose for the third week in a row from 6.7% to 6.8%.
